We have taken inspiration from Lovecraft's Tale "The Horror of Dunwich"
The Caprimulgus is considered a psychopomp: a spirit guide who accompanies dead souls.
Lovecraft wrote about as a flock waiting for dying souls.
If they can catch souls they laugh as a demon, but hush very sadly if they fail.
